My Dear Aunty
My dear dear aunty
I really like to be around
But i leave my chromebook on the floor
And it's nowhere to be found.

Move ya body
Today is the first day of school in term 3. This morning everyone lined up for immersion assembly in boy girl lines.
When we got to the assembly everyone sat down. Mr J and Mr Somerville came out from the back of the stage and started dancing around to a Beyonce song. While they were dancing Mr Burt came out of nowhere dressed up like Beyonce. He started dancing too then all of the students started laughing because he had denim shorts, hairy legs and bright green socks. He told everyone to stand and dance so everyone copied him. But I thought team fives act was coolest because they did this Tai Chi act and Mr Wiseman kept making everyone laugh. I also thought the other teams were good but I still liked team 5 the most.
So I would like to thank all of the teachers for doing immersion assemblys because every one happy on the first day of school and makes us want to learn more .

Year 8 Leadership camp part 1
Year 8s camp
At school everyone was getting ready to go camp they were taking their stuff into the hall to put into the bus. Then when the bell rang everyone went into the hall to sit down and listen to Mrs Flavelle so she could tell them which buses they were in. and when she sent them to there buses they had to take some bags with them. Then when everyone finished doing that they went into the bus and sat down .
When we started driving everyone got excited and the bus drive was 2 hours long so most of the students got bored. After that everyone started singing then a few minutes later we arrived at Kawaeranga camp but everyone thought it was gonna be dumb but it turned out good because we had our own group cabins and there were cool activities like go karts, paintball, air rifles, bmx bike track and the little train things.

expo inquiry
Expo/Inquiry
Our group came up with an awesome experiment that includes a lighter and a spray, all you had to do was light the lighter and spray the flame. And it makes a flamethrower
We had not that much ideas one of ours was setting our hand on fire without it hurting , Making paper planes and showing force and motion And Water.
Out of all of our ideas we narrowed it down to one idea which was paper planes because it was easy to explain and make.
Unfortunately it was a fail because all the work we did was all on Arthur’s chromebook and since he left the school, we had nothing to present and so we had to try figure out another idea which was the paper planes. But then we had nowhere to sit and present our work to everyone so we didn’t get to finish it
The Next Time we can’t do it again because we will be at college and we won't be able to do an expo again, maybe we will do a expo at college if we go to the same collage, maybe.

walter fab fractions
Fabulous Fractions
We are learning to identify the relationship between equivalent fractions.
What is 4/4 of 8? This is the same as
What is ⅕ of 10=2
What is ⅓ of 12=4
What is 2/6 of 12=4
What is 1/13 of 26=2
What is 2/26 of 26?13
What do you notice about these fractions?
I have 2/16 of a cake at a birthday party. I keep going back for more and eat another 4/8 of a cake. What fraction of a cake have I eaten altogether?= 10/16
I have 5/20 of a cake left over from the party. Then I give 1/10 of the cake to my sisters. What fraction of a cake do I have left over? = 3 3/20
½ + 2/4 = 2/4 = ½ ½ + ½ = 1 whole
3/6 + ⅔ = 1 1/6
⅕ + 2/10 = 4/10
⅙ + 4/12 = 6/12
⅕ + 1/15 = 4/15
1/8 + 1/72 = 10/72
1/9 + 1/18 = 3/18
⅕ + ⅙ = 11/30
1/7 + ⅕ = 12/35

fractions finale 2
Fractions Finale
I want to add ½ with ¼. First I change ½ to then I add
⅓ + ⅙. ⅓ = 2/6 2/6 + ⅙ = 3/6
¼ + ⅛. ¼ = 2/8 2/8 + ⅛ = ⅜
How can I change ⅔ into sixths (4 /6)? 4/6
How can I change ⅔ into twelfths ( 4/12) 4/12
⅓ + ¼ = 7/12
⅓ = 2/6 ¼ = 2/8
⅓ + ⅕ = 8/15
⅓ = 2/6 ⅕ = 2/10
⅙ + ⅛ = 16/56
⅙ = 2/12 ⅛ = 2/16
1/10 + 1/100 = 10/100
1/10 + 1/1000 = 100/1000
⅓ + 1/7 = 10/21
¼ + ⅕ = 9/20
⅓ + ⅖ = 11/15
List 5 equivalent fractions for:
¼ = 2/8
⅓ = 2/6
⅕ = 2/10
⅙ = 2/12
